Grandview Assistance Program Information

We are an emergency assistance agency, and it is our hope that the immediate assistance given will prevent the client from falling further behind and assist the families to get back on their feet. 

Our Mission
Our mission is to assist in a dignified manner, families and individuals in Grandview and the Grandview School District, with emergency assistance and guidance toward ultimate self-sufficiency.

Our Vision
Our vision is to initiate and implement a variety of programs and services which meet our clients’ immediate and long-range needs.  We realize that this is possible only through the financial support and the volunteer services provided by the community.

Nondiscrimination

Client/Donor Privacy Policy
The Grandview Assistance Program (GAP) will not rent, trade, sell or disclose any information about its clients or donors to any other person, entity or organization without prior approval.  GAP employees and/or board members who may have access to client and/or donor information are prohibited from disclosing information to third parties.

Community Support
Grandview area churches, individuals, businesses and organizations support GAP through various internal fund/food drives and volunteer efforts.  If you are interested in supporting GAP click the title of this paragraph in order to contact GAP.

Volunteers
Volunteers enable all of GAP's programs to be successful by assisting in the food pantry, organizing and distributing school supplies, helping during the Christmas Store and other projects.  GAP’s services could not be as efficiently provided without the efforts of these faithful assistants.  If you are interested in volunteering at GAP click the title of this paragraph in order to contact GAP.

Client Grievance
Any client with a grievance may submit their grievance in writing within 90 days to the Executive Director and/or the Board of Directors of the Grandview Assistance Program (GAP) at 1121 Main Street, Grandview, MO 64030. This grievance will be forwarded to the Board of Directors for review by a Grievance Committee, which will be appointed by the President of GAP. A response will be given in writing and all decisions made by the Grievance Committee will remain final and cannot be appealed.


The Board of Directors for GAP meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 12:00 noon.  The meetings are held in the conference room at the Grandview Consolidated School office and are open to the public.
